Match Curriculum:
iReady Mathematics is the new Math Curriculum being implemented at the Elementary Center this year. This program integrates teacher-led instruction and practice, along with engaging learning games and assessment tools.
The methodology behind iReady Math is that it helps students become more thoughtful and analytical in regards to mathematical thinking.
Some of the highlights of this program include supporting the needs of all learners through personalized instruction and goal-setting, and supporting the teacher through the planning process and utilization of assessment tools to track student progress.
ELA Curriculum:
UFLI is the new phonics program that is being implemented in Grades K-3 at the Elementary Center. It is an explicit and systematic program that teaches students the foundational skills necessary for proficient reading. It follows a carefully developed scope and sequence designed to ensure that students systematically acquire each skill needed and learn to apply each skill with automaticity and confidence. It is research based and aligns with what decades or reading research has shown to be effective. The program features ample opportunities for students to practice, along with built-in gradual release. It is designed to be used for core instruction in the primary grades or for intervention with struggling students in any grade.
